Mark Echlin is a Trustee of Facing History. He has recently retired after a 35 year career in the investment banking industry where he worked for a number of institutions - most recently at Credit Suisse where he was Head of European Investment Banking and Chairman of Investment Banking.
Before becoming a banker Mark was educated at the University of Cambridge and then the University of Oxford, from where he received a DPhil in Russian History. He has lived in Russia whilst a student, and has made many visits there both in a professional and personal capacity over multiple decades.
Mark lives in London with his wife Tory and has four adult children. In retirement Mark enjoys music, theatre and walking.
