Metro teacher of the year humanizes history

Wanda Anglin opens dialogue with Nashville School of the Arts students in classes including African-American Studies

Nashville School of the Arts senior Rebekah Horton feels she definitely has a better understanding of U.S. government after taking the course this semester from her teacher, Wanda Anglin.

"She is very down to earth in her teaching," Rebekah said. "She teaches us in ways we can relate. She doesn't dumb-down anything. She just teaches so we can understand."
